Project Overview
Tell Me About It! is basically show-and-tell for adults, but make it artsy and social. Each event is a speed-date style hang where people bring one thing they love—an art book, a vinyl record, or a film—and spend a few minutes at a time telling someone else why it matters to them. No experts, no pressure, just curiosity, stories, and good vibes. You rotate, you listen, you share, and you leave having met new people and discovered things you probably wouldn’t have on your own. It’s casual, cozy, and all about connection through culture.
Why did I start “Tell Me About It!”?
I started Tell Me About It! because I wanted to create community-based events that bring people together through shared interests and real conversations. I wanted a low-pressure, welcoming space where people could talk about art in all its forms, learn from each other, and feel comfortable sharing their perspectives without needing to be an expert. At its core, Tell Me About It! is about connection—using art as a way to spark dialogue, curiosity, and mutual learning. Also I just like to have fun outside of work :)
